Second Qualifying - Thursday Evening
A lap of 120.209mph by Ian Lougher was good enough for 7th on the grid for Saturday's superbike races, he was also clocked through the speed trap at 197mph. In the superstock class Ian posted a lap of 117.282mph for overall 12th position.
The Supersport 600 session saw Ian and his technicians try a few suspension settings on the R6 bike, which has only been ridden on one other occasion this year. Nevertheless a speed of 115.765mph secured a ninth place position on the grid.
Olie Linsdell continued to improve further. The 20 year old recorded a speed of 113.087mph in superbike/superstock qualifying on the team's R1 Superstock bike and went round in an impressive 113.382mph for 17th fastest overall in the supersport class.
First Practice Session - Tuesday 13th May
Ian Lougher finished the evening in provisional 8th and 6th position in the Superbike and Superstock classes respectively as practice got underway for Saturday's Kennedy International North-West 200.
In dry, sunny conditions Ian managed five qualifying laps on the 2008 Team Blackhorse Yamaha R1 machine, his fastest lap being timed at 117.681mph on Lap 5.
A speed of 116.520mph on the second of two qualifying laps was good enough for 6th fastest on the night in the Superstock class. One lap was posted on the team's Yamaha R6 Supersport bike but Thursday's second session will afford more track time.
Olie Linsdell meanwhile was quietly going about things. No stranger to the North-West circuit, Olie spent the evening familiarisng himself further with the team's R1 Superstock bike and also managed to go second quickest in the 400cc class on his privately entered Yamaha.
